HUMAN SHIELD The shield is symbolic of protection and strength. The Zulu shaped shield draws on our rich cultural heritage. The Ankh is the key of life a symbol easily linked with religious connotations. I have adapted its shape to a sword representing strength. One side of the Ankh is male the other female and the two together balance forces and bring the third entity. The carving as a whole is about the strength in a spiritual way of living.
